Sunday Confessions - Yes to Sweats, No to Naps

Well happy Sunday that is followed by a holiday.  These are my favorite Sundays.  Nothing like not having to spend my evening prepping for work lunches and getting laundry done while worrying about washing my hair early enough so I can straighten it, because honestly it's an all day event.

No worrying about making sure I am in bed by 8pm for an early alarm tomorrow. Ok, Ok... Who am I kidding.  I will still be in bed early and awake early in the morning because my body is just programmed that way.  Also because, well. I'm old.  LOL.

None of this changes the fact that there is NO WORK TOMORROW!  Woo Hoo!

On to my confession...  Are you ready?  I love spending my Sunday's being lazy and not wearing real clothes.  It's typically sweats or leggings all day long.  They are my favorite. I do usually spend the day working around the house or getting some bookkeeping work done for my side job but at least I am doing it in comfort.  That's what matters most.

I wish I could say that I spend my day napping, but unfortunately I am not one of those people who can nap.  I wish I could.  I am always jealous of my friends who do nap all day long but if I nap I end up waking up in a fog, with a headache and grumpy as hell.  This is me after a nap.

Plus when I nap I NAP!  I am our for 3 hour minimum and just seem to be incapable of taking short cat naps.  even when I set an alarm.  Which is seldom because if I nap it's not exactly planned.

So I wake up early and am consciously aware of how much i am enjoying my day.  I drink a lot of coffee in the morning and will usually spend a couple of hours cleaning my house then it's all about my book, Netflix or painting.  The best part about that is that I am super tired and am easily able to fall asleep early at night.  I'm so old.  I enjoy going to bed early.

I have heard friends and colleagues in the past talk about how guilty they feel about going the entire weekend without doing anything and how unproductive they felt....  Really?  What is wrong with doing nothing on your weekends?  We work hard all week and as for myself I schedule all of my errands and appointments for after work during the week so there is usually very little rest for me during the week so if I want to do nothing over the weekend I think it's glorious.  If I feel like going out and running errands or visiting with friends then I do but I don't let my self feel obligated to be busy.  That's how I keep it relaxing. I love it!

So if you read this and you also find yourself doing as little as possible while lounging around the house in your sweats with your coffee, give yourself a big pat on the back!  Know that you are not alone!

Sunday Confessions

Happy Sunday everyone!  I can't believe it's already almost over.  I need to start booking some Mondays off to have some extended weekends.  Since this is the beginning of a no holiday period for a while.
Well my confession today is that I LOVE and am obsessed with binge watching TV shows.  I spend pretty much all of my free time watching full series of some show beginning to end.  Examples of some favorites are:

Just to name a few.  They have been keeping me pretty busy and keeping my mind distracted for a while.  Which lately is something that I have really been needing.  But now I seem to be caught up on these and need some new shows.  Any suggestions out there?  Don't hesitate to share please. :) Obviously I am a fan of crime dramas.  LOL
Who else Binge watches?  What are your favorites?

Sunday Confessions

Well It's that time again.  Sunday....  How does Sunday always sneak up on me so fast.  Well I am here to do another Sunday Confession (Thank you Alyx for the great idea).

I am quite the Hermit. I AM an Introvert.  I love to stay home and chill out by myself rather than going out among-st the world of people.  I am not much of a people person.  Really, I am pretty anti social.  People drive me crazy.  They are always creating drama out of nothing or acting like fools.  Yes I am very much an Introvert and really need my quiet alone time to re-energize myself.  If I don't get it I feel like I am climbing the walls from frustration, exhaustion and agitation.   On the bright side though,  Life is MUCH less stressful than it could be this way.  Not to mention, I really can't remember the last time I was actually bored, because I don't get bored  hanging out with myself.

Introverts can be really misunderstood and misrepresented.  We aren't afraid of the world or necessarily shy.  We don't lock ourselves up in our houses and refuse to interact with anyone.  We just prefer time alone over time around large groups.  I don't completely avoid the world.  I just prefer it in small doses and I prefer not being around large groups.  Too many people around just exhausts me.  I like small gatherings.  2-3 people at most.  Quiet evenings with close friends or alone.  The silence and time alone will energize me where the time around a lot of people will exhaust me.

So here I am, this quiet Sunday, at home watching TV and doing odds and ends chores around the house enjoying the peace and the day.

how every you like spending you time I hope you are all having a fantastic Sunday.  I am grateful for tomorrow being Presidents Day and getting the extra day off.

Thank you Alyx, for your Sunday Confessions inspiration.

Sunday Confessions

I'm linking up with Alyx for Sunday Confessions today.  So I am gonna let you all in on another little crazy secret.  Are you ready????

I LOVE salt and mustard.  I am a huge fanatic for anything salty.  I prefer salt over sugar any day.  So much that when I shop at Costco I have to pick these up each trip because I go through it THAT fast.  I know.  It's sickening isn't it?  But sooooo yummy!
I pretty much drown everything in Mustard.  You often can't even see my hot dogs or hamburger/turkey burgers.  I dip my fries in it. I put it on my fish and ham.  I freaking love this stuff.  When I was a kid I used to make money by betting my friends that I would drink the mustard straight out of the packet.  They never believed I would do it So I was winning nickels and quarters left and right.

I love salt, vinegar and mustard.  When salt and vinegar chips first came out I was convinced they were invented just for me.

So since I am such a lover of mustard and all things salty my friend M had given this to me for Christmas.  I thought it was so perfect.  as far as knowing me well... this paired well with all the coffee I received for Christmas as well.

So who else has some crazy flavor obsessions?

Sunday Confessions

Hi Everybody!!!

Something that most people who know me should know about me but it amazes me sometimes that they don't. I am a lazy Sunday kind of girl.  I DO NOT like making plans on Sundays or leaving the house for much of anything except maybe a quick trip to the store.  I try to make all of my plans or appointments for Saturdays.  For either fun adventures out, lunch with friends, walks around the marina, hair, nails or waxing appointments...  Whatever needs to be done I plan for Saturday so I can enjoy my Sundays in the peace and quiet of my home. I love to spend it watching all of my DVR'd shows from the week that I don't have time to watch or reading my books.  I also spend the day getting all of my laundry done. Sure to most people that seems very boring and reclusive but I need that one day a week alone and relaxing so I can prepare for the fun-filled, insane and crazy week ahead.  So if you ever need to get a hold of me on a Sunday chances are pretty good I am at home, curled up on my couch in my sweats with either a remote control or a book in my hand.  Yay for Lazy Sundays!!! :)

Now there are the occasional exceptions to the rule, such as 49er Football Games (live or football watching get together's) Concerts, special occasion dinners or events planned well in advance. I'm not a complete hermit.  Just a slight one. ;)

Sunday Confessions

Ok so I am joining in and jumping on the bandwagon here. Ok Ok,  I know I'm a little late but it was a very busy weekend.  So better late than never I always say! Well.  I sometimes say that.

Thanks to Alyx at Everyday is a New Adventure, Here are my Sunday Confessions -

1.  I have a crazy obsession for Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.  Not peanut butter cups, but the eggs.  The ones you can ONLY get at Easter.  There is something oh-so wonderful and better about the peanut butter to chocolate ratio.  Because to be honest.  I'm not much a of a sweet person.  Not a huge chocolate fan or sugar in general, but I do LOVE me some Peanut Butter.  Peanut Butter and Pumpkin are probably the worlds 2 most awesomest favors!!!  Ok so I may have made up a word right there, but you'll get used to that.  I make up a lot of words. ;)

2.  I am completely addicted to this little guys face.  And his laugh.  I can't get enough of it.  This little fellow was my handsome date Friday night while his folks were busy.  He is currently in training to become a super hero baby so his identity must remain a secret, so for now I will just call him CBW.  That stands for Cutest Baby in the World, in case you were wondering.  Suiting, don't you think? He has this laugh/squeal that he does when he's excited about something or just trying to see if he can get your attention (which he find super funny when he sees that it works) and the squeal is something I just can NOT get enough of hearing.  I LOVE it!!!!
